أعلى محكمة عراقية تلغي قيود الملكية الأجنبية التي تعود إلى عهد صدام

Shafaq News- Baghdad Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that aBaath-era decision restricting foreign property ownership and investment inIraqi companies was “unconstitutional.” The ruling followed a lawsuit filed by the primeminister against the speaker of parliament, challenging Revolutionary CommandCouncil Decision No. 23 of 1994, as amended by Decision No. 33 of 1997,according to the court’s statement . Introduced under Saddam Hussein, the 1994 measuresuspended laws permitting non-Iraqis to own property or invest in Iraqicompanies.
