Residential complex and possible wine press found near Sekhmet Temple at Egypt’s Memphis
An Egyptian-Chinese archaeological mission found a residential complex near Memphis's Temple of Sekhmet. Grape seeds and a limestone structure suggest a possible ancient wine press was present. Inscribed stone blocks and statue fragments also emerged from the excavation site.
